Oh look! The yearly post!!!

Sorry about the hiatus...

We’ve been so busy with the refurbishment of our cottage and generally adulting at last, that I simply didn't have the time to post, put videos together or any of the stuff that I had originally resolved to do religiously. We dropped just about everything, including gardening, my original pastime while we were waiting for solicitors during the conveyancing era... the geodesic dome "gone with the wind" (storm Darragh followed by storm Eowyn), and not (yet) resurrected, beds only growing crops for nettle soup since...

I had the occasional minute to spare to put a quick update and photo on social media... mostly for my mum's sake, but I've stopped doing that as I've grown more and more annoyed with Meta and their association with the orange toddler during his “third term”. I'm still struggling to get away from WhatsApp so here’s an invitation to reach out on Signal in the future, if you’re similarly inclined…

As our house project is almost complete, I would like to spend a little more time now actually keeping up the blog for further updates on the mill and the kiln, which we will take a little easier. But we know that might be wishful thinking. Therefore I have opened yet another social media account on Bluesky, for all those fast satisfaction posts (Chmel, get onto Bluesky!)

I’ve added an icon to the page for quick access! I am still keeping the others as there's... history...

I will be bringing you the latest shenanings on the plant room / cob hut and the renewables very soon, and a progress page will be added onto the Journey Map. Could be today, could be tomorrow... could be 2027…
