Van Life In The Making

Have you all seen our temporary home yet? Here it is!

Yup, that little touring caravan, which looks like it is about to be washed away, is it. This is where we will be moving to in April (or thereabout). No electricity but clearly plenty of running water.

How did this all come about? Have a look at our first (hopefully out of many) expectation vs. reality scenarios:

The first picture is a Christmas 2021 present from Kat's sister. It is a "voucher" for a caravan. The second picture is the actual deal - the "PooGodiva", the world's best mini-home. Awning still to come. Currently, neither of our small crappy cars can actually tow it, nor do we have the correct license, but for some two years we probably won't need to.

The man that sold and delivered the van was very cocky about his ability to get it in to where we needed it, despite the fact that we told him access was going to be difficult. Of course when he turned up he outright refused to do it and said it was impossible because of a little bit of surface mud. He just dumped it and left.

In the next caravan post, we will bring you, along with some internal shots, a cheeky little video of us trying to wiggle it into its "final resting place".

Here's a little riddle. How many people does it take to move a caravan stuck in the mud? Four! How many people does it take to level it? Just one, our wonderful neighbour.

The two of us couldn't do it! Off to a great start with the DIY, huh?

Another little panorama for good measure.
